One Injured in Shooting near Carroll, Harrison Streets in Paterson

Passaic County officials announce that at approximately 11:40 p.m. on July 20, members of the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to the area of Carroll Street and Harrison Street in Paterson on a report of shots fired. 

Upon arrival, police located a potential crime scene and a 19-year-old male Paterson resident who sustained a non-fatal gunshot wound. The victim was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson for treatment.

Based upon the initial investigation, it was determined that the victim was standing in the area of Carroll and Harrison streets when he was struck by gunfire.

The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes available.
