Authorities in Secaucus are investigating a drive-by shooting outside a hotel that left a person injured in the city overnight.
Multiple rounds of gunfire erupted in the 300 block of Lighting Way (La Quinta Hotel) shortly before 3 a.m. rushing police and emergency responders to the scene where officers canvassing the area found the victim struck by gunfire at that location.
The victim was rushed to Hackensack University Medical Center in serious condition after being struck multiple times.
Police set up a crime scene in the area where they questioned several witnesses who reported seeing a dark colored minivan occupied by several black males and at least one female speed away from the scene.
The victim is not an employee of the hotel and the incident appears to be isolated authorities said.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
There were no arrests reported.
