Police officials in Newark are investigating a shots-fired incident where a person was shot in a section of the city's North Ward on Thursday night.
According to police, units responded reports of shots fired that rang out in the area of 92 Cutler Street just before 11:10 p.m.
Upon arrival, police found an unidentified victim suffering bullet wounds at that location.
Police say the victim was transported to University Hospital, where doctors treated serious injuries.
There were no arrests reported.
