East Orange Police reported injuries in a shots-fired incident overnight in the city.
According to a preliminary investigation, police responded to reports of shots fired in the 80's block of Shepard Avenue, prompting a police investigation.
Upon arrival, officers requested EMS units on a rush after they located the victim suffering gunshot wounds.
Police say the injured was transported to an area hospital for treatment while officers taped off the area to begin the investigation.
A Major Crimes Unit was notified to assist at the crime scene.
Police reported no arrests and the victim's condition could not be immediately confirmed.
