NY Man Arrested in Bergen County for Driving With Stolen Vehicle

Bergen County Prosecutor authorities announced the arrest of Wilbert Toussaint, 31, of Queens, NY, on a charge of receiving stolen property.

According to officials, the arrest results from an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office.

Officials say on February 27, detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotic Task Force conducted a traffic stop of a suspected stolen vehicle traveling through Bergen County.

 Detectives were able to confirm the vehicle was reported stolen from Clay County, Florida, on February 16, and the driver of the stolen car was identified as Wilbert Toussaint.

According to Detectives, due to the investigation, Wilbert Toussaint was arrested at the scene and charged with third-degree receiving stolen property.

Toussaint was released pending a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack.
