NY Man Accused of Making Bomb Threat at Englewood Facility

Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal announced the arrest of Sentiliano Canko, 32, of Astoria, New York on charges of False Public Alarm and Possession of a Prescription Legend Drug.

According to authorities, on Tuesday, August 15th, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office received information that a telephone caller using technology to anonymize his calling line identity made a bomb threat to a medical facility in Englewood. 

As a result of the information received, members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit and Englewood Police Department initiated an investigation to trace the call. 

As a result of the investigation, Canko was arrested on Tuesday in Rochelle Park and was charged with one count of False Public Alarm.  

In addition, Canko was discovered to be in possession of Suboxone at the time of his arrest. Canko was further charged with one count of Possession of a Prescription Legend Drug. He is scheduled to appear in Bergen County Central Judicial Processing Court for a first appearance on October 11, 2017, at 8:30 a.m.

Prosecutor Grewal states that these charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
