Nutley Police have issued a “Be on the Lookout” alert for two suspects believed to be involved in an attempted carjacking that occurred overnight in the township.
According to preliminary information, officers were dispatched at approximately 12:10 a.m. to the area of Franklin Avenue and Tremont Place for reports of a carjacking in progress.
When police arrived, they learned that two suspects, described as Black males wearing all-black clothing, attempted to take a vehicle before fleeing the scene southbound toward Belleville.
No injuries were reported, and the incident remains under active investigation. Additional details have not yet been released by authorities.
