A vehicle carjacked at gunpoint out of East Orange had officers from Bloomfield and NPD1 assisting in the search.
A LoJack signal coming from the suspected vehicle alerted Bloomfield Police and NPD1 that the car was traveling in the area of Bloomfield Avenue and Grove Street shortly before 1 a.m.
The vehicle, a silver 2005 Honda Accord, was reportedly carjacked at gunpoint out of East Orange earlier in the evening.
A thorough search of the area had officers from the three municipalities blanket the area with officers, but it is not immediately clear if police ever located the suspect or the vehicle.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
