Police requested a citywide available police response to assist in dispersing a large crowd that formed in a neighborhood in Newark's West Ward.
Police said at approximately 11:50 p.m., a large crowd formed for a block party in the vicinity of South 17th Street and 14th Avenue.
According to police, about a block away on South Orange Avenue and 17th Street, dozens of illegal ATV riders began to speed and recklessly perform stunts in the middle of the street.
NPD-1 helicopter was over the scene to assist police offices with aerial coverage.
There were no injuries reported.
