Non-Profit Organization Announces Competitive Basketball Summer Pro-Am League in East Orange

The Hoopsville Pro-Am basketball league is putting on an amazing men’s Pro league that is open to the public for participation.

According to a statement released by Hoopsville officials, contests are held every Sunday at the East Orange Campus high school and has FREE entry to all games that began at 12:30 p.m

Officials say College Hoopsville Basketball is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and has been providing different services and programs to various local N.J. communities for 16 years.

According to officials, in 2016, Hoopsville Basketball began their mission to unite the community through a Men’s Basketball Pro-Am League in East Orange which unites neighborhood children, fans, local legends and professional stars every Sunday during the nine-week season.

"Our supporters will have a place to go, free of charge, and enjoy highly competitive basketball with a few professional basketball players included in several games. More importantly, guests will have a safe place to spend their Sundays" officials said.

Hoopsville Basketball players and former NBA player Tim Thomas are joining forces for the upcoming summer '19 season.

Tim played in the National Basketball Association for 14 years. Officials say he attended Villanova University where he was drafted to the NBA after his freshman year. Tim was a star locally at Paterson Catholic High School where he was named a 3-time All-American. Tim brings a ton of basketball experience will be a big-time asset to the league.
