Police in Jersey City are investigating a shooting incident that injured two people in Jersey City during the overnight hours.
According to police, gunfire erupted in the vicinity of New Street and Ocean Avenue at approximately 12:45 a.m. that sent officers to the scene to investigate.
Police say upon their arrival, they found a victim suffering gunshot injuries at that location.
According to authorities, cops found one additional victim during a traffic stop of a vehicle at Oak Street and Ocean Avenue.
Both victim's injuries have been reported as non-life threatening and the investigation into the motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
