Non-Life Threatening Injuries Reported for Victim Struck by Car in Elizabeth

There were non-life threatening injuries reported for the victim of a pedestrian strike that occurred in Elizabeth Friday night.

According to preliminary reports, police were called to the tees block of Broad Street at approximately 6:30 p.m. after they received reports of a pedestrian down at that location.

Units arrived at the scene found the victim suffering injuries after a car struck them near 17 Broad Street.

Police say the victim was transported to an area hospital where doctors treated their injuries and they are expected to survive.

The incident remains under investigation.
