Police in Newark are investigating a shooting that has one person injured in the city's West Ward.
According to preliminary reports, police responded to reports of shots fired that rang out in the 100 block of Grove Terrace at approximately 4:50 p.m.
First arriving officers found the unidentified victim suffering a gunshot wound to the arm reports said.
EMS transported the victim to University Hospital where doctors treated non-life threatening injuries.
A black male suspect was observed running from the scene and is believed to be the shooter.
The suspect remains at-large at this time
