EMS transported a male victim who was found suffering a gunshot wound at a location in Newark's South Ward during the overnight hours.
According to preliminary reports, the victim flagged down an EMS unit in the vicinity of Osborne and Nye avenues at around midnight comparing that he was shot.
Medical personnel -who checked the victim- found him bleeding from the foot after being struck by gunfire according to reports.
Police were called to the scene where they initiated the investigation into the motive behind the shooting.
The incident remains under investigation.’
