There were non-life threatening injuries reported for the victim of a shooting that occurred in Irvington Township on Wednesday morning.
According to preliminary reports, gunfire rang out in the 400 block Lyons Avenue -near the old Pathmark" where a male suspect reportedly exited a vehicle armed with a gun and tried to rob a male victim just before 10:55 a.m.
The suspect demanded cash and personal possessions from the victim before firing a shot at the ground that reportedly ricocheted then grazed the victim to the leg reports said.
EMS transported the victim to the hospital where he was expected to survive his injury.
The suspect fled the scene of the crime and remains at-large.
There were no other injuries reported.
