No Injuries Reported in Three-Alarm Bloomfield Building Fire

There were no injuries reported in a multi-alarm fire that ignited inside a building in Bloomfield on Thursday morning.

According to a statement released by authorities, the fire happened at approximately 8:20 a.m. where the Bloomfield Fire Department responded to a report of a working fire at 73 Washington Street,

Units arrived to find heavy fire coming from a top floor apartment of a 4-story mixed-use building adjacent to the Avalon Building in Bloomfield Center.

Officials say mutual assistance arrived from Belleville, Nutley, East Orange were also seen on location to assist.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
