NJ State Police officials are investigating the cause of a deadly wreck that claimed a person's life on a Somerset County highway Tuesday night.
A preliminary investigation indicated that at approximately 7:50 p.m., police were dispatched to the southbound lanes of I-287 near US-202 to investigate reports of a crash.
Upon arrival, Troopers located the crash scene with two severely injured victims on the highway.
One of the victims succumbed to their injuries while the other person was transported to Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center in Nw Brunswick for treatment.
The cause of the crash is under an active and ongoing investigation.
