Officials from NJ State Police are investigating a shooting that injured a man on a highway in Atlantic County early Sunday morning.
State Police said the shooting was reported shortly after 4 am this morning on the westbound side of the Atlantic City Expressway in the area of exit 7S in Egg Harbor Township.
Police confirmed that a male victim was struck and taken to an area hospital in an unknown condition.
All lanes westbound were closed for the investigation but are now reopened.
The incident remains under investigation.
