The ShopRite of Waretown, operated by Saker ShopRites, is donating its $10,000 lottery bonus commission to Fulfill Food Bank after recently selling a $12.3 million Pick-6 winning ticket.

The contribution will support hunger relief efforts throughout Monmouth and Ocean counties.

Store representatives were joined by officials from Fulfill and the New Jersey Lottery to celebrate not only the big win, but the impact the donation will have on local families in need.

This act of giving continues a pattern for the Saker family, who have consistently used lottery commissions to benefit the community.

In 2024, the ShopRite of Neptune, also owned by Saker ShopRites, sold a record-breaking $1.13 billion Mega Millions jackpot, the largest in New Jersey history.

Following that historic win, the company donated its $30,000 bonus commission to Fulfill as well.

Officials say donations like these play a vital role in supporting food access programs, especially as many families continue to face rising grocery and living costs.

Pictured at the Waretown location during the recent presentation were Stephanie Ferrier, Vice President of Development and External Relations for Fulfill Food Bank; Richard Saker, CEO and President of Saker ShopRites; and James Carey, Executive Director of the New Jersey Lottery.
