NJ Man Arrested for Possession with Intent to Distribute Meth

Authorities in Bergen County announced the arrest of Jorge A. Perez, 60, of North Arlington, on a charge of possession with the intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance.

According to officials, the arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love, the North Arlington Police under the direction of Chief Scott Hedenberg, and the United States Postal Inspection Service under the direction of Inspector-In-Charge Christopher Nielsen.

Officials stated on October 6, during a narcotics investigation, detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotic Task Force, the North Arlington Police Department, and United States Postal Inspectors executed a search warrant at the residence of Jorge A. Perez.

Located in his residence were approximately 100 grams of methamphetamine, scales, and packaging material, authorities say.

As a result of the investigation, officials said, Jorge Perez was arrested at the scene and charged with second-degree possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine.

Perez was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, officials say.  Ad
