A Milltown resident is facing multiple drug-related charges following an investigation that uncovered a large quantity of narcotics, drug-making materials, and packaging supplies, according to a statement released by Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone.

Authorities said the Middlesex County Narcotics Task Force launched an investigation into 39-year-old Steven Chevrier, who was identified as a suspected marijuana distributor.

The probe led to his arrest and the recovery of nearly 900 grams of marijuana, more than 300 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, and 149 cartridges believed to contain THC oil.

Investigators also seized marijuana edibles, THC wax, scales, marijuana seeds, a pill press, three mushroom-growing kits, a handwritten recipe book for THC edibles, and various packaging materials commonly used in drug distribution.

Chevrier now faces several charges, including maintaining a drug production facility, possession and intent to distribute controlled substances, money laundering, and distribution near school and public property.

The investigation remains active.
