NJ Lottery Tickets Stolen in Newark Ironbound Cafe Burglary

Police in Newark requests the public’s assistance identifying a suspect wanted in connection with a business burglary that occurred on Saturday.

Police say at approximately 3:30 a.m., a man broke into Vida’s Cafe, located at 637 Ferry Street, and stole an undetermined amount of New Jersey lottery tickets.

The suspect fled on a bicycle after putting the tickets into a basket attached to the rear of the bike according to police.

Police say detectives investigating this incident captured pictures of the suspect and seek the public’s assistance in quickly identifying him.

Police say he is described as an adult male in his thirties, 5’3” tall and 200 lbs. He has a black mustache and was wearing a gray raincoat and gray rain pants.
