The community is being aware of Saturday's free prom dress giveaway held by excellent organizers and officials from 'We Are Our Sisters Keeper Incorporated' had an unexpected guest to assist young ladies to prepare for one of the most exciting evenings of their lives.
Miss New Jersey and Newark native Alicia Blanks (accompanied by her mother) arrived at the Bethesda Church early Saturday morning where she assisted and encouraged dozens of high school seniors to prepare for this prom season.
Offering words of encouragement and advice, Banks coached the girl's and their parents into choosing the perfect but most importantly a comfortable outfit for prom night while challenging them to continue to strive for the best.
