Authorities announced the arrest of the 24-year-old man wanted in connection with last year'st East Ward shooting.
Acting Newark Public Safety Director Anthony Ambrose said that after further investigation into the December shooting on the 100 block of Fleming Avenue, police took Luis Mayorga, into custody this morning after he was located at a Pulaski Street home.
Mayorga was charged with aggravated assault and multiple weapons offenses and is being held on $200,000 bail.
