Police are asking the public’s help locating Almajid Turner, 24, of Newark, who is wanted for a shooting that occurred on October 18, 2017.
According to police, shortly after 9 p.m., Newark Police responded to a call of a shots fired in the area of Irvine Turner Boulevard near Springfield Avenue.
Arriving officers observed property damage resulting from the shooting, but no injuries were reported as a result of this incident.
As a result on the ongoing investigation, sufficient evidence was developed to identify Turner as a suspect in this shooting. Detectives obtained a warrant for his arrest on charges of Aggravated Assault, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon and Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose.
While police are actively searching for this suspect, they seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating and removing him from our streets.
