Newark Shooting Suspect Arrested

Police have arrested a 29-year-old man and charged him with shooting two people in Newark over the weekend.

Police said shortly after 8 Saturday morning, police responded to the intersection of Ingraham Place and Millington Avenue on a call of shots fired.

Upon arrival, officers located two male victims shot shot at that location.

The victims were transported to University Hospital where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries and released.

Police also located a third victim who was uninjured.

Detectives said they developed sufficient evidence to identify and arrest Mr. Hakeem Ruff, 29, without incident.

Police charged Ruff with attempted murder, aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon,!and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
