Newark Police Seeks Help Identifying Auto Burglary Suspect

Authorities in Newark request the public's help identifying the male suspect in an auto burglary incident that occurred on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.Ad

Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé said at approximately 9:30 a.m., police in the 100 block of Halsey Street were flagged down by a victim who reported that he found the driver's side window of his parked 2009 Dodge SUV ransacked and his iPhone and Air pods stolen.

According to officials, detectives investigating this incident describe the suspect as Black, wearing a black face mask, a black puffy coat featuring the lettering "Moncler," black pants, and white sneakers with black trim.
