Newark Police Seek the Public's Help Locating Vehicle Burglary Suspect

Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose is requesting the public’s help with identifying the suspect who broke into a vehicle and stole personal items from the owner on November 28.

According to officials, the victim reported the incident to police, telling officers that the rear window of his vehicle had been broken into around 1:17 p.m. on Murray Street. Surveillance video captured the suspect breaking into the vehicle and taking the victim’s personal belongings.

While police are actively searching for the suspect, they seek the public’s help so that he can be located.

Director Ambrose urges anyone with information about this incident to call the Division's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
