A vehicle owner returned to find a shattered window and cash missing from her car, prompting Newark police to seek the public’s help identifying the suspect responsible.

According to Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., the incident occurred on June 7 in the 900 block of Mayor Kenneth A. Gibson Boulevard.
Authorities said the victim parked her vehicle at approximately 8:30 a.m.
When she returned around 10 a.m., she discovered that the front passenger-side window had been broken, and approximately $190 was missing from the center console.
Investigators said surveillance video captured a suspect entering the vehicle and removing property before leaving the area.
The investigation remains active as detectives work to identify the individual responsible.
