Suspect Exits Vehicle, Shoots Victim Then Drives Off in Newark

Authorities in Newark seeks the public’s help in identifying and locating a suspect wanted in connection with an aggravated assault shooting that occurred on Friday, April 6th.

Police say, at approximately 9:45 p.m., in the 300 block of 13th Avenue, the suspect exited a reportedly stolen 2002 black Jeep Liberty, NJ Registration N55-GYU, shot the victim and re-entered the vehicle fleeing on 13th Avenue.

Major Crimes Shooting Response Team detectives are actively searching for the vehicle and suspect at this time.
