Newark authorities are investigating a shooting incident that sent a man to the hospital early on Thursday morning.
Police say the seriously injured man was reportedly found suffering a broken femur after gunmen fired shots in the vicinity of 400 South 18th Street sometime around 1:15 a.m.
According to police, the victim was taken to University Hospital and remain in stable condition.
The motive for the attack is under investigation.
