Newark Officials Investigating After Gunshot Wound Victim Taken To Hospital

Officials in Newark are investigating after a man with a gunshot wound was taken to the hospital.

Police say on Friday, hospital officials at St. Michael's contacted police when a man arrived at the medical center suffering a non-life threatening gunshot wound in his arm.

According to police, the vehicle that the victim arrived in had a bullet hole through the windshield.

The victim told police that while driving in an unspecified area of the city, something flew through his window, then he felt pain and saw blood coming from his arm.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
