There is an active investigation underway into a shooting that took place a short time ago in the city's North Ward injuring a male victim.
According to Public Safety Director Anthont Ambrose, reports of shots fired that rang out in the area of Elwood Avneue and Lincoln Avneue had police on the scene at around 9:30 p.m. where they located the victim struck by gunfire.
The victim was transported to University Hospital where his injuries are non-fatal at this time Director Ambrose said.
"Detectives are at the early stages of the investigation. The victim is stable and there are no motive or arrests made" Direcror Ambrose said.
