Police in Newark issued a warrant for the arrest of Mr. Christopher Johnson, 35, of Newark, in connection with an aggravated assault on Sunday, September 15, 2019.
According to police, at around 11 p.m., a man was assaulted with an object that rendered him temporarily unconscious following a fight with a man he knows on Grand Avenue, near Mountainview Avenue.
The victim arrived at University Hospital for treatment and was released.
Detectives investigating this incident have identified Christopher Johnson, also known as Maurice Johnson, as a suspect and obtained a warrant for his arrest. He is described as 6’3” tall and 175 lbs.
He has a dark brown complexion, black hair and brown eyes.
While police are actively searching for Johnson, we seek the public’s help in quickly locating him as part of this investigation.
