Police in Newark issued a warrant for the arrest of Mr. Savon Morrison, 24, of Newark, who they say is wanted for an aggravated assault that occurred today,-Sunday-.
According to a statement released by officials, this afternoon, police responded to a South Ward residence on a call of an aggravated assault in progress.
Police say the victim, who is the suspect’s girlfriend, was threatened with a gun by Morrison following an argument.
Detectives from the Special Victims Section investigating this incident secured a warrant for Morrison’s arrest on charges of aggravated assault, possession of a weapon and child endangerment.
While police are actively searching for Morrison, they seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating and removing him from city streets.
