Police determined that the cause of injury for a man found in a section of Newark's East Ward suffering a bullet wound was accidental.
According to preliminary reports, the victim was found at a location on Lexington Street at approximately 2:35 a.m., suffering a bullet wound in his leg.
After a preliminary investigation, police believe the victim's non-life-threatening injury was self-inflicted.
