A female was taken into custody and charged with possessing a weapon in a section of Newark on Sunday evening.
Preliminary reports indicated that police responded to reports of a domestic violence incident that involved a woman and another person in the 20 block of North 6th Street shortly before 5:30 p.m.
Officers arrived and, during their investigation, found the involved individuals armed with a gun.
Police arrested the woman without further incident.
No physical injuries were immediately reported.
