Newark Alleged Serial Shoplifter Arrested for Stealing Several Times from Bloomfield CVS

Bloomfield police apprehended a Newark man for shoplifting charges from a CVS Pharmacy.AdThe incident, which occurred on March 11, involved the theft of various items totaling $247.19.

Bloomfield police, in a statement, identified the suspect as Mr. Mason Barr, a 43-year-old resident of Newark. 

The arrest followed a report of shoplifting at the   CVS located at 250 Glenwood Avenue.

According to the report, a vigilant store employee, recognizing Mr. Barr from multiple previous incidents, observed him concealing merchandise and exiting the store without making a payment.AdResponding swiftly to the situation, police officers located Mr. Barr in the vicinity of the pharmacy and took him into custody.

He was then transported to Bloomfield Police Headquarters, where he was processed for his alleged involvement in the shoplifting case.

This incident truly highlights the ongoing challenges faced by local businesses in combating retail theft and highlights the efforts of law enforcement to address such activities promptly.
