In a recent federal court ruling, Scott Wilkinson, 39, from Concord, New Hampshire, received a 20-year prison sentence for charges related to the exploitation of a minor and possession of explicit material, as announced by U.S. Attorneys Philip Sellinger and Jane E. Young.Ad Federal officials said in a press briefing that Wilkinson had entered a guilty plea to both the production of explicit material and the possession of Explicit Images of Minors material.

The sentencing was carried out by U.S. District Court Judge Joseph Laplante in New Hampshire.

Investigations revealed that Wilkinson traveled from New Hampshire to New Jersey in April 2022 and engaged in explicit activities with a 12-year-old child whom he had been communicating with online for about a year.

Authorities discovered a video on Wilkinson's cell phone, depicting him in explicit contact with the minors, alongside additional images and videos of Explicit Images of Minors material.

Following his prison term, Wilkinson will undergo ten years of supervised release, as mandated by Judge Laplante.

This case underscores the ongoing efforts of federal authorities to combat the exploitation of minors and the distribution of Explicit Images of Minors material.
