New Brunswick Shooting Victim Not Cooperating with Police

According to a statement released from New Brunswick Police, at approximately 1:15pm today, New Brunswick police officers responded to the area of 61 Neilson Street to investigate a report of a possible shooting.

Upon their arrival, they located an adult male victim who sustained a gunshot wound to the abdomen.

Police say the victim was transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital for treatment.

The preliminary investigation suggests that this was not a random act and the victim was the intended target.

Police officials say unfortunately the victim is not cooperating with investigators at this time, however the investigation is ongoing.
