A shooting in the area of Myrtle and Stratford avenues sent a wounded woman to the hospital this evening.
Police responded to the scene shortly after 8 p.m., where they found the the 41-year-old female victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. The victim was transported to an area hospital with what appeared to be a non-life threatening injury.
Authorities have established a crime scene, where evidence that multiple shots were fired was recovered. At this time, it appears the victim knows the shooter.
No other injuries were reported.
The investigation into the shooting is ongoing, according to authorities.
