Police in Newark reported no injuries in a shots-fired incident in a section of the city Sunday.
Authorities said the early morning shooting happed around 1:30 a.m. near 488 Avon Avenue.
Shooters arrived in the area then opened fired on unknown targets before fleeing the scene.
Several officers arrived at the scene and found shell casings in the street, but after searching the area, no victims were located.
The suspects remain at large.
