Hackensack Firefighters and mutual assistance from several Bergen County towns joined to battle a raging fire that erupted inside a medical office Saturday evening.
Witnesses dialed 911 when they observed fire coming from the Noracare Wellness and Sports Care located at 952 Main Street around 11 p.m.
When crews arrived, they found heavy flames coming from the second floor of the building, with thick smoke pouring from the rear.
Fire officials struck a second, then third alarm for manpower as fire appeared to extend to neighboring structures.
Firefighters managed to get the fire under control in about an hour, with no injuries reported.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
