Authorities in Monmouth County would only confirm severe injuries for a crash that involved a motorcycle in Neptune Township Saturday.
In a preliminary investigation, the crash happened around 7:30 p.m. near 55 Neptune Boulevard.
Police say emergency responders arrived and found a motorcyclist ejected from the bike and down on the roadway suffering serious injuries.
He was rushed to Jersey Shore Medical Center for treatment, according to police.
The roadway was closed for the crash investigation and there were no other injuries reported.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
