Motorcyclist Killed in Late-Night Collision on Route 47 in Cumberland County

A Woodbine man was killed late Monday night following a collision between his motorcycle and a car in Maurice River Township, authorities said.

According to the New Jersey State Police, 35-year-old Andrew Flynn was traveling southbound on Route 47 near Main Street when a northbound vehicle, driven by a 34-year-old woman from Millville, attempted a left turn into a parking lot.

During the turn, the car crossed into Flynn’s path, resulting in a crash that threw him from his motorcycle.

He died from his injuries at the scene, police said.

The driver of the car sustained serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

Troopers were called to the scene shortly after 11:15 p.m.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and no charges have been filed at this time.
