Motorcyclist Injured in NJ-17 Crash in Bergen County

A motorcyclist suffered non-fatal injuries after a crash on a NJ highway that runs through Bergen County on Sunday evening. 

It happened around 5:30 p.m. in the northbound lanes of NJ-17 and South Summit Avenue.

Police said emergency responders and rescue crews arrived at the scene and found the motorcycle driver suffering injuries after he ejected from the bike after it reached speeds of over 50 miles per hour. 

The 21-year-old male was transported by EMS to Hackensack University Medical Center for treatment and is expected to recover. 

Police have not released the official cause of the crash at this time.
