A motorcyclist suffered severe injuries in a crash in Essex County Friday evening.
At approximately 5:27 p.m., police responded to reports of a crash with injuries near the intersection of Franklin Avenue and Mill Street in Belleville.
When police and EMS arrived, they found that a motorcyclist had ejected from his bike and down on the road suffering serious injuries.
The rider was transported to University Hospital for treatment and is expected to recover.
Belleville Police will handle the investigation and no other serious injuries were reported.
