A motorcyclist was injured Wednesday night after colliding with a deer on Route 22 in Somerset County.
The crash occurred at approximately 9:07 p.m. near Vanderveer Road and Craft Farm Drive in Bridgewater.
Initial reports from the scene indicated the rider was semi-conscious following the collision.
Traffic investigators responded to investigate the crash, which involved a motorcycle and a deer.
As of about 9:18 p.m., only the shoulder remained open to traffic on eastbound Route 22 while emergency crews worked at the scene.
The extent of the rider’s injuries has not yet been released.
Motorists were advised to expect delays in the area as the investigation continued.
