Authorities in Middlesex County are investigating a shots-fired incident that injured a person in Monroe Township late Monday night.
According to police, gunfire rang out in the vicinity of 13 Stonegate Drive just before 11:20 p.m.
Units arrived at the scene found a person suffering injuries after being shot at that location.
Police say the victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-fatal injuries.
The motive for the shooting remains under investigation. No arrests were reported.
