The city's East Ward community crowned this year's Miss and Mister Ironbound pageant winners on Saturday.
Hundreds packed the Ironbound Boys and Girls Club (Salvation Army) on Saturday evening to witness the crowning of eight contestants for this years pageant.
According to pageant officials, for over 15 years the Miss-Mister Newark Ironbound Pageant has crowned young men and women who represent our great city where contestants participate in the Newark Ironbound Pageant build self confidence, poise, and the ability to express themselves while striving to reinforce the teaching of their schools, home, and service to the community.
